1 The photographs
Add one, or a whole team. They stay on your computer — nothing is uploaded. A person standing clear of their background cuts out best.
Downloads the raw cut-out for the photo you are looking at, before anything of ours touches it. Send it to Ana and she can see exactly what went wrong.
2 The background
How much of the sweep or texture shows. At nothing it is a flat colour.
Darkens the corners, the way a school backdrop falls off at the edges.
A soft shadow so they stand in the background. A white background wants almost none.
The edge is matched to your photograph itself, so this only nudges it. Turn it up if you see a light rim; down if fine hair is disappearing. If the hairline itself looks sliced flat, that is where the cut-out decided hair ends — turn this down, and a photograph with more space behind the head will always cut better.
